The Dyehouse Gallery was established in December 1995 with the aim of bringing to Waterford a selection of the best of contemporary Irish and International Art. As one of the few purpose built galleries in the country the Dyehouse is gaining a reputation as the premiere venue for the visual arts in the south-east.

To date the Gallery has hosted 30 exhibitions showing the work of over 100 artists both emerging and established in a variety of media.

In 1996 the Dyehouse was overall winner in the "Best New Building" in the Waterford Corporation/T.S.B. Environmental Awards and in the same year received the W.L.R. FM/Waterford Crystal Arts and Entertainment Award for its contribution to the Arts.

Apart from the current exhibition the Dyehouse offers a wide range of constantly updated works, to suit both the private and the corporate buyer , including painting, sculpture and original Irish limited edition prints.
