"Portrait of
and other women"

Brian Bourke
Friday 19th May until Saturday 17th June

"The Korean girl who is the subject of these portraits is the adopted daughter of my son and his wife. These portraits were done over the summer of '99. It is important to me that they be shown as a group and am very happy to have this opportunity to show these portraits at the Dyehouse Gallery. The other portraits of women that I have selected for this show are in a way of contrast. They come from many different years and are portraits of Women who have sat for me many times. The technique used in each case is a variation of mixture of pastel, pencil, watercolour, acrylic, and often ending in oil paint."

Opening Night
