DRAWINGS 2000

New works by PAT MURPHY
Wednesday 18th October to Saturday 11th November

Opening Night

7.00pm to 9.00pm

Special Guest: Brian Maguire
Head of Fine Art - NCAD

DRAWINGS 2000 is Pat Murphy's second one man show at the Dyehouse Gallery. Pat studied at the National College of Art in Dublin in the early seventies, and since then has been developing his considerable talents, stimulated by the seclusion of the Ring Gaeltacht.

In this exhibition Pat uses his characteristic technique of mixed media on paper. The overall visual effect is achieved by a complex merger and interaction between pencil, crayon and colour wash.

"Pat Murphy is arguably one of the most gifted and accomplished artists working in Ireland today"
Peter Jordan
Art historian and critic
